Henry revealed an in-ring return for the five-time Women’s Champion could happen “as fast as next week”

Alexa Bliss has been cleared for an in-ring return, WWE producer Mark Henry has revealed.

The five-time Women’s Champion has not wrestled on TV since WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in September.

She suffered multiple concussions after competing against Ronda Rousey, which led to vertigo and memory loss.

Despite Bliss’ in-ring absence, she has been a regular feature on Monday Night Raw, taking charge of the women’s division in an authority role.

Speaking to Busted Open Radio, former WWE world champion Henry said: “The person I ran into and had a real ‘come to Jesus’ conversation with was Alexa Bliss.

“A real, good friend of mine Chris Nowinski had concussions and had to stop wrestling because of it. So I wanted to talk to her to see how she was.

“We sat for about 15, 20 minutes and she was like ‘I was really bad off, I couldn’t remember where I was, I couldn’t remember what I was doing in the city’.

“We were flying from London to Switzerland and she said ‘I couldn’t remember my flight [details], I had to rely on everybody else telling me what to do. I couldn’t stand up straight and I had vertigo’.

“I was like ‘wow’. She was in a bad way, then she came back to the ring, banged her head again and was in a really bad place. Now, she’s fine, she’s been cleared.

“We are very happy that she’s going to be back in the fray. I just wanted to remind her of who she was.

“I said ‘remember who you are, don’t go back too soon if you’re not ready – and when you go back, Ronda is great, Nia [Jax] is doing her thing, and Becky [Lynch] and Charlotte [Flair], but you are a major player. Remember when you come back, be who you are.’”

Bliss returned to the WWE Performance Centre to train last week.

While Henry was confident of a swift in-ring return date, January’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view seems most likely given her new management role.

Henry added: “She said she didn’t have a set date but she said it would be soon because she’s 100 per cent cleared.

“So I could see [a return] as fast as next week.”
