Pep Guardiola covered a number of areas in Friday’s press conference ahead of Manchester City‘s match against Fulham on Saturday.

Firstly, he gave his thoughts on the possibility of playing league matches abroad.

“It’s a question for the people that decide. In Italy they play the Super Cup in another country. It’s business. It’s sport, but also business,” he said.

“If something like that works, then maybe it will happen in more countries in the future.”

The City coach made his feelings known on any potential sale of Kevin De Bruyne.

[Jorge] Valdano asked me if I would sell him for 250 million euros, I said no. In England there aren’t release clauses,” Guardiola explained.

Finally, he paid tribute to the club’s owner Sheikh Mansour.

“He is the most important person at Manchester City. He helped us take a step forward. They have invested and chosen the right people, with just money it wouldn’t be enough. He knows about absolutely everything that happens daily.”
