Lautaro Martinez on target for Argentina

Argentina didn’t have to work too hard to beat Iraq 4- 0 in Riyadh, with Lautaro Martinez on target for La Albiceleste along with Roberto Pereyra, German Pezzella and Franco Cervi.

Lionel Scaloni‘s team didn’t need to get out of second gear against a weak opponent.

After 18 minutes, when Iraq still seemed to be asleep, Marcos Acuna crossed for Martinez to head into the corner.

In the second half with a team full of changes, Roberto Pereyra‘s goal put the result beyond doubt.

With 10 minutes remaining, Pezzella appeared at the far post after a corner kick to head into the net, and Cervi ended the scoring late on.

Argentina will face Brazil next Tuesday at 19:45 CET.
