Manchester City starlet Oleksandr Zinchenko would be open to a potential move to Napoli, according to his agent.

The 21-year-old was in negotiations with the Italian giants towards the end of last season as Napoli tried to prise the Ukraine international to Serie A.

City were reluctant to part with the youngster but understood his desire to play more regularly and were willing to discuss a potential move.

However, the deal fell through and Zinchenko remained at City, continuing his development under Pep Guardiola.

Napoli remain interested in the midfielder though, and the player’s agent, Alan Prudnikov, has claimed that his client would be interested in trying to renegotiate a deal in the near future.

Speaking to Radio Marte, Prudnikov said: “We are always open to proposals coming from Italy.

“Napoli showed interest both over the summer and the year before, but never managed to find an agreement with Manchester City.

“I met with [Napoli director Cristiano] Giuntoli and we laid down the foundations of a deal with Zinchenko, but the two clubs could not agree on a fee. We’d be ready to discuss it again, though.”
